Addressing Sterility With Natural Treatments

For couples that are trying to get pregnant, addressing the issue of sterility can be a difficult one. Negative pregnancy test after test can be devastating and hope can dwindle after months of expectations being dashed. And while there are many medical treatment options available for couples there are also many treatments for sterility that can help as well.
Some lifestyle choices can actually be causing one's sterility. For instance, smoking is dangerous for both men and women. The poison that is contained in the nicotine of the cigarettes is absorbed very quickly into the bloodstream and from there travels to every system of the body, including the reproductive system. Smoking can damage a man's sperm count and also damage the sperm that's left. Good blood circulation is important for both a woman's ability to conceive and man's ability to impregnate a woman and smoking interferes with blood circulation more than anything. Any couple facing the issue of sterility is always advised to stop smoking before they do anything else.
It's true that some couples also think that they're facing sterility when in reality they just have less of a chance of getting pregnant than other couples. Pregnancy is not a guarantee even when a healthy man and woman engage in sexual activity; it's a game of chance no matter what. In order to increase the odds of a pregnancy, many couples are advised to simply increase their sexual activity! As a matter of fact, a couple is not technically considered infertile unless they are having sexual relations at least twice per week for an entire year and still have not gotten pregnant. A month or two without a pregnancy, or sexual activity that is more infrequent than that does not add up to sterility for any couple.
There are many herbs that also seem to address sterility in both men and women by balancing hormone levels and also by calming both individuals. These herbal remedies include black cohosh, Siberian ginseng, and chaste berry. The ginseng seems to be the most effective as it supports healthy blood flow to all parts of the body including the reproductive systems. Chaste berry is valued for its antioxidant properties so that healthy cells are protected and repaired. Zinc is also found in very high and active concentrations throughout the male reproductive system in healthy males.
Vitamin B aids in the production of anti stress hormones and lowers high blood pressure and improves blood flow throughout the human body. Vitamin E supplies oxygen to the heart and other muscles in the body and improves circulation. Potassium is essential for proper fluid balance in the body. Amino Acid supplements are essential components of enzymes, hormones and body fluids.
Many are also turning to acupuncture as a form of sterility treatment. While there is always controversy over the effectiveness of acupuncture, it is believed to help with blood circulation and to numb painful areas of the body as well. This helps patients to relax and maintain health overall, including in the reproductive system.
Doctors can also recommend medication treatment options for sterility but these are usually harsh and invasive. It may be better for any couple trying to get pregnant to try these natural remedies and options first.
