Sexual health is a condition of emotional, physical, social and mental well-being especially with reference to sexuality. It includes the absence of sexual diseases, infirmity or dysfunction. Sexual health is also about the possibility of having sexual experiences that are pleasant and safe and which are free of coercion, violence and discrimination. Sexual health also refers to the factors that influence sexual reproduction and function. Types Of Sexual Health Indicators. There are two types of sexual health indicators. They are Type 1 and type 2 The type 1 indicators include: o AIDS/ HIV o infections that are transmitted sexually o Pregnancy during teenage o Sexual Problems and or Dysfunctions o The use of contraceptives or Condoms o Sexual attack. Type 2 Indicators include : o information about sexual health o impetus to enhance/ protect sexual health o Behavioral skills to enhance/ protect sexual health o sexual health with reference to one's own body o availability of reproductive and sexual health services o availability of sexual health education Issues That Affect Sexual Health Include : 1 Disorders of the reproductive system including cancer 2 Problems related to infertility 3 Gynecological problems such as pelvic inflammatory disease, premenstrual syndrome and endometriosis 4 Problems of the urinary system such as urinary tract infections and incontinence 5 Diseases that are sexually transmitted 6 Sexual dysfunction such as loss of sexual desire , painful intercourse, and erectile dysfunction (ED). 7 Thoughts or beliefs regarding "acceptable" or "normal" lifestyles and sexual behavior 8 Control of birth rate 9 Sex among the teens
